FULLERTON, California. Titan YDSA members voted on October 29, 2024, to endorse the following stances on ballot measures:
Statewide (California)
Proposition 2: NO
Titan YDSA opposes the usage of statewide bond measures to fund special projects. We would support greater educational funding, but it should be done by altering the state budget or passing a general tax increase.
Proposition 3: YES
It is time for marriage equality to be enshrined in the California Constitution, removing homophobic language and protecting the rights of all to marry from our modern dangerous Supreme Court.
Proposition 4: NO
Titan YDSA opposes the usage of statewide bond measures to fund special projects. We would support climate change resilience funding, but it should be done by altering the state budget or passing a general tax increase.
Proposition 5: YES
It is beyond time that we lower the requirements for new affordable housing requirements.
Proposition 6: YES
All slavery, involuntary servitude, and forced labor is a moral evil and should have no place in our society.
Proposition 32: YES
$18 is still truly not enough, but an increase is better than none.
Proposition 33: YES
Costa-Hawkins has been devastating for Californian renters. It is time to put it out to pasture and enact widespread local rent control.
Proposition 34: NO
Petty retribution measures for taking political stances one does not like should not be put on the statewide ballot.
Proposition 35: YES
While the threats to specific healthcare fields are concerning, Titan YDSA believes it is more important to preserve Medicaid funding long-term.
Proposition 36: NO
We say NO to the War on Drugs and the exacerbation of mass incarceration.
